Media affiliated with Taliban intelligence investigated the arrest of Allahdad Fadaei

On Saturday, 16 Aqrab, Sada-e Hindu Kush also published several voice messages attributed to Allahdad Fadaee. The outlet claimed that the messages concerned Fadaee’s conversations with Sami Sadat, leader of the Afghanistan United Front, about planning attacks against the Taliban in Nuristan and Laghman provinces.

In another of the published audio files, a voice attributed to Sami Sadat discusses an agreement with “a neighbor” to provide facilities and equipment. The same message also mentions a person named “Habib,” who was apparently tasked with examining possible routes from Bajaur and Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Nuristan and Kunar provinces to determine whether these routes could be used.

In response to the release of these files, the Afghanistan United Front published a message on X rejecting the authenticity of the voices, calling them fabricated and produced using artificial intelligence.

Explaining its position, the front said the messages were produced as part of a pattern of fabrication, manufacturing pretexts, and attempts to mislead the public. According to the group, the Taliban want to use such material to lay the groundwork for further repression, arrests, and torture of military personnel and security forces from Afghanistan’s former government.

However, the Afghanistan United Front did not specifically comment in its statement on Allahdad Fadaee’s membership in or cooperation with the front, nor did it mention his name.

According to these reports, the Taliban arrested him earlier this Afghan month at his residence in Kabul.

During Afghanistan’s former government, Allahdad Fadaee was responsible for commanding police in four provinces: Maidan Wardak, Laghman, Nimroz, and Baghlan.

After the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan, he left the country and went to Iran. However, there is no clear information about when he returned to Afghanistan or how he reentered the country.

The media outlet “Sada-e Hindu Kush,” which is believed to be affiliated with Taliban intelligence, has confirmed the arrest of Allahdad Fadaee, a police commander in Afghanistan’s former government, in posts on the social media platform X. The outlet says Fadaee was arrested by Taliban forces some time ago.
