Abdul Salam Muftun's wife killed in armed attack in Badakhshan

According to sources, this incident occurred in the early morning of Thursday; at the time when she was targeted by gunfire from unidentified armed individuals while on her way to her workplace. Sources added that Leiloma managed a restaurant exclusively for women in the Ashkasham local market.


The motive for this attack has not yet been clarified, and Taliban officials have not reacted in connection with this incident.


This event comes amid growing concerns about the increase in targeted killings and armed attacks against citizens in various parts of Afghanistan. In recent days, several similar attacks have also been reported in the provinces of Kabul, Herat, Nangarhar, and other areas of the country.


Previously, sources had reported the killing of the head of the Herat Metalworkers' Union and one of the province's well-known landowners in an attack with a cold weapon. Additionally, Haji Allah Nazar, one of the tribal elders of the Sar-e Pul district, had been targeted in an attack by armed motorcyclists.


The rise in these incidents has heightened citizens' concerns about the security situation and the spread of targeted violence in the country.

Local sources in Badakhshan province say that Leiloma, the wife of Abdul Salam Meftun, a local singer in this province, was killed in an armed attack in the Ashkasham district.
