Iranian official: We deported nearly 100,000 Afghan refugees in one week

The governor of Taybad visited the process of returning Afghan migrants at the Iran-Afghanistan border point on Sunday (8th of Saratan).
He said that approximately 8,000 Afghan migrants are returned daily through the Dogharoun border.
Jamshidi also claimed that over 90 percent of undocumented Afghan migrants have voluntarily left Iran.
Meanwhile, the Bakhter news agency, under Taliban control, reported that in a single day, 2,997 Afghan migrant families have returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan.
This comes as human rights organizations and international bodies have repeatedly reported increased pressures and intensified forced deportations of Afghan migrants.
Hossein Jamshidi, the governor of Taybad, says that over the past week, more than 95,000 undocumented Afghan migrants have been deported from Iran.
