Mohaqiq's response to Nabil's criticism: We consider negotiations with regional countries our right

Mohaqeq explained that his letter was written in the wake of appreciating Pakistan's role in facilitating dialogues between the United States and Iran. In a note on Facebook, he stated that some accusations against him have been raised based on social media rumors and added that conducting secret deals is more akin to the work of security and intelligence circles.


The leader of the Islamic Unity Party also said that within the framework of the Supreme Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan, he is in contact and dialogue with countries in the region and the world regarding the situation in Afghanistan. According to him, these efforts include political options and even field maneuvers; but their goal is to resolve the Afghan crisis, not secret deals.


In response, Rahmatullah Nabil, in an interview with Deutsche Welle, strongly criticized Mohaqeq's letter and said that while Pakistan continues its attacks and pressures against Afghanistan, appreciating the commander of its army is unjustifiable. He also claimed that some Afghan politicians, including Mohammad Mohaqeq, have entered into negotiations with Pakistan to create military movements against the Taliban.


Mohammad Mohaqeq did not deny part of these claims and said that in decision-making, the considerations of regional countries such as Iran and Turkey are also taken into account, and they do not want their actions to harm these countries. He emphasized that for this reason, he still considers a political solution and negotiation to be the best option for resolving the Afghan issue.

Mohammad Mohaqeq, leader of Afghanistan's Islamic Unity Party of the People, defended his action in response to Rahmatullah Nabil's criticisms of his letter to Asim Munir, Commander of the Pakistan Army. He said that because of this letter, he has been accused by the former head of national security of the previous government of making a deal with Pakistan; but he emphasized that as long as the Afghan crisis and the problems of the people with the Taliban continue, he will persist in consulting with influential countries in the region and the world.
