Pakistani army announces killing of 19 militants and one security force member in Balochistan

In a statement released by the Pakistani army on Wednesday, October 23, it was stated that security forces, in an operation based on intelligence in the Shaban area of Quetta, eliminated 13 militants. The Pakistani army referred to these individuals in its statement as "Indian-backed Kharijites."


In the continuation of these operations, Pakistani security forces clashed with militants in the Kech and Quetta West districts on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. The army stated that at least six militants were killed in these clashes.


According to the Pakistani army's statement, one security force member from the country also lost his life during these clashes. This security force member was 39-year-old Mohammad Jameel, and according to the army, he was killed during the clash with the militants.


The Pakistani army has emphasized that operations against militants will continue, and these actions are being carried out as part of the campaign known as "Azm-e-Istihkam."


The provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are among Pakistan's restive regions, and the activities of militant groups in both provinces are on the rise.



The Pakistani army has announced that during security forces' operations in parts of Balochistan province over the past two days and nights, at least 19 militants have been killed. According to the army, a quantity of weapons and ammunition belonging to the militants also fell into the hands of the security forces during these operations.
