Kazakh delegation arrives in Kabul to expand economic cooperation

The Taliban's Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced that the main objective of this visit is to hold the "Afghan-Kazakh Trade and Economic Forum" and to organize an exhibition of Kazakh products and manufactures in Kabul.


According to this ministry, discussions during the visit will focus on expanding economic relations between the two sides, facilitating trade between the private sectors, and marketing Kazakh goods in Afghanistan.


It is worth noting that Kazakhstan has not yet officially recognized the Taliban administration; however, in recent years, it has engaged in limited and conditional cooperation with this group. Notably, in June 2024, it removed the Taliban from its list of terrorist organizations.

An economic delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of that country, has arrived in Kabul.
