National Independence Front of Afghanistan: Ashura is a symbol of resistance.

In this message, published by Dr. Nawid Ahmad Ahmadzai, leader of the National Front for the Independence of Afghanistan, it is stated that the uprising of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is "a lesson in standing firm against tyrants" and awakens dormant consciences to confront falsehood.


In one section of the message, referring to the current situation in Afghanistan, the Front has accused the Taliban of depriving people of individual and collective freedoms through their policies. The message claims that justice, human dignity, and the fundamental rights of citizens in Afghanistan have faced extensive restrictions under Taliban rule.


The National Front for the Independence of Afghanistan has also emphasized that the fighters of this group have risen from among the people of Afghanistan, and their goal is stated as defending the country's independence, freedom, and national values.


The message continues by stating that Ashura teaches the people not to remain silent in the face of oppression and to strive for the realization of justice and freedom. The Front has called on citizens to unite against what it calls "the prevailing injustices" and to work toward a better future.


Dr. Nawid Ahmad Ahmadzai expressed hope at the end of this message that the struggles of Taliban opponents will lead to "victory and the liberation of the people of Afghanistan."


The Taliban have not yet reacted to this message.

The National Front for the Independence of Afghanistan, on the occasion of Husseini Ashura, issued a message describing this day as transcending a mere religious occasion and portraying it as a symbol of the struggle against oppression, tyranny, and injustice.
