Mottaki discussed bilateral relations with his Turkish counterpart

The ministry wrote in a statement on Monday, July 2, that during the meeting, the two sides discussed expanding bilateral relations and regional issues.


According to this newsletter, Amir Khan Mottaqi emphasized that Türkiye has a special place in the Taliban's foreign policy and that bilateral cooperation should be further expanded by increasing the level of relations.


It further states that Hakan Fidan has also emphasized the expansion of cooperation between Afghanistan and Türkiye in various sectors.


It is worth noting that the 51st meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was held in Istanbul with the presence of Foreign Minister Talabani.

The Taliban Foreign Ministry announced in a press release that Amir Khan Mottaki, the acting minister of the ministry, met and held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Foreign Ministers' meeting.
