Trump says he promised the Islamic Republic not to target its leaders

Trump, on Wednesday, October 22, referring to the killing of several senior Islamic Republic officials, said that the first- and second-tier leaders of this regime have been eliminated, and after the selection of successors, several third-tier leaders have also been killed.

He continued his remarks by saying that he had been asked not to target other Islamic Republic leaders and emphasized that he had accepted this commitment. Trump, pointing to the difficulty of finding a negotiating partner in this regime, added that perhaps the attacks had gone too far, and now it is unclear with whom he should enter into dialogue. He also claimed that the Islamic Republic's naval and air forces, radar systems, and air defense equipment had been destroyed in the attacks, and the Iranian regime has lost its former military capabilities.

The President of the United States, in another part of his speech about the Strait of Hormuz, claimed that the United States has complete control over this waterway and extracts more oil and gasoline from it compared to before the war began. He predicted that with the end of the current situation, gasoline prices in the United States would fall even below pre-war levels. However, in these remarks, he provided no further explanations about how the Strait of Hormuz is controlled or the amount of oil and gasoline being extracted.

Trump continued by repeating his claim that the Islamic Republic was only two weeks away from acquiring a nuclear weapon before the attacks on the ninth of Hoot, and he also spoke about the bombing operations on nuclear facilities. According to him, this operation was canceled once after the flight time of U.S. bombers was revealed; but two days later, it was carried out at the same previously scheduled time. Trump, criticizing the disclosure of military information, called for severe punishment of those who publish details of such operations and even spoke of shooting the leakers.

The President of the United States at the end of his speech once again emphasized that, in his view, the Islamic Republic will not acquire a nuclear weapon in the future. Trump's statements come as he speaks on one hand of weakening the military capabilities of the Islamic Republic and on the other hand claims to have agreed to the request of this regime's officials to stop targeting its leaders. However, in the quoted statements, no further details are provided about the timing and manner of this request or the party that made it.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, stated at a Republican Party election rally in the city of Bullhead City, Arizona, that officials of the Islamic Republic had asked him to stop attacks on the leaders of this regime, and he had agreed to this request.
