Shahbaz Sharif calls for immediate halt to Houthi movements into Saudi Arabia

Shehbaz Sharif, on Friday, October 8, condemned the Houthis' repeated attacks on Saudi Arabia, including the reported strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha Airport, in a message posted on the social network X.


He stated that these attacks have resulted in the killing and wounding of civilians. Pakistan's Prime Minister also expressed appreciation to the Saudi armed forces and the coalition led by the kingdom for intercepting several ballistic missiles and for their efforts to protect civilian lives.


Sharif further emphasized that Pakistan stands alongside the government and people of Saudi Arabia in the face of security threats. According to him, Islamabad remains committed to its obligations to support Saudi Arabia's national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security.


Pakistan's Prime Minister also underscored Saudi Arabia's right to defend its people and safeguard the kingdom's cities and critical infrastructure. He referenced the Mecca Agreement and recent decisions by the Political and Defense Strategic Committee, stating that Pakistan's support for Saudi security is unwavering.



Pakistan's Prime Minister condemned attacks attributed to Yemen's Houthis against Saudi Arabia and called on the group to immediately halt its assaults. Meanwhile, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced the temporary suspension of its flights to Riyadh.
