Former Afghan security officer urges Trump to create conditions for 'fighting the Taliban again'

General Abdul Raqib Mobarez, who is now a refugee in the United States, stated in this letter that Afghan former military personnel residing in the United States do not wish to remain in exile and prefer to fight for the "freedom of Afghanistan." He has condemned the attack by an Afghan assailant in Washington and warned that such incidents should not be generalized to the entire Afghan community.

He emphasized that the goal of Afghan military personnel is not "to stay in the United States," but rather that they expect Washington to provide the groundwork for political and financial support for anti-Taliban fighters. According to him, "This time, there is no need for the presence of American soldiers in the field," and former Afghan military personnel themselves have the ability to fight.

At the end, Mobarez has asked Trump, given his global role, to use his influence to support efforts to "take back Afghanistan."

A former senior official of Afghanistan's security forces has written a letter to Donald Trump, calling for the creation of conditions for the return of exiled military personnel and the resumption of the fight against the Taliban.
