Green Movement and Resistance Front announce attacks on Taliban in Badakhshan and Herat

The Green Trend has claimed that in an attack on a Taliban intelligence vehicle in the city of Fayzabad, two members of the group were severely wounded; meanwhile, the National Resistance Front has reported the killing of two Taliban members in the Anjil district of Herat.


The Green Unit, the military wing of the Green Trend, has stated that on Saturday, it targeted a Taliban intelligence vehicle in the Dasht-e Halqa area, which falls under the fifth district of Fayzabad city. According to this group, at least two Taliban members were wounded in the attack, and their medical condition has been reported as critical.


The Green Trend has added that these individuals were transferred to a hospital for treatment and, due to the severity of their injuries, are in a coma.


Taliban officials have not yet reacted to these reports as of the time of this news' publication.


Meanwhile, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has also stated in a declaration that its forces, on Friday, October 22, targeted and killed two Taliban members in the Anjil district of Herat province.


According to this statement, the operation took place along the Torgundi–Herat highway, opposite the Parwana village, and the targeted individuals were members of the Taliban's highway police. The National Resistance Front has further claimed that in this operation, two weapons and one communication device fell into the hands of its forces.


In recent months, groups opposed to the Taliban have repeatedly announced carrying out attacks against this group's forces in various provinces of Afghanistan. However, details of these incidents and the casualty figures announced by the responsible groups are, in many cases, not independently verifiable, and the information available about these two recent events is also based on the statements of these groups and reports from local sources.



The military wing of the Green Trend and the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan have announced, in two separate statements, that they carried out attacks against Taliban members in the provinces of Badakhshan and Herat.
