IOM: After the signing of the Doha Agreement, eight million Afghan citizens have left their country







According to the UN, one million Afghans have sought refuge in European countries, 85 percent of whom have gone to neighboring countries.
Since the Taliban returned to power in August 2021, inflation has risen sharply in the country, with more than half of the population experiencing poverty, the organization said in a report.
The UN agency says about 70 percent of Afghan migrants have fled to Iran, saying they have left the country because of lack of job opportunities.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has called on countries to suspend deportations of Afghan refugees until conditions are created for their safe, dignified and voluntary return.
