Waltz: ISIS, al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab are planning an attack on the United States

Mr. Waltz, in an interview with the television network "Just The News," stated that these groups are seeking to rebuild their capabilities and that their threats remain serious.
This U.S. official further noted that the Trump administration has succeeded in eliminating 74 leaders of terrorist groups, although he did not provide further details about the identities of these leaders or the locations where they were targeted.
He also pointed to the significance of Afghanistan in this context, stating that terrorist threats from this country persist, particularly in light of terrorist groups' efforts to rebuild their capabilities and plan attacks similar to the September 11 attack.
Waltz also addressed the Trump administration’s efforts to repatriate American citizens from foreign prisons during the interview, noting that so far, 45 American citizens who were imprisoned in various countries have been transferred back to the U.S.
In the latest action, the Trump administration secured the release of two American citizens from Taliban prisons.
Mike Waltz, the U.S. National Security Advisor, warned about the threats posed by terrorist groups against the United States in his latest remarks. He emphasized that groups such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Al-Shabaab are still attempting to carry out attacks on U.S. soil and are making plans to this end.
