Zelensky announces conversation with Trump about ending war with Russia

Zelenskyy stated that the meeting discussed ways to end the Russia-Ukraine war and halt attacks on energy facilities. The meeting lasted about 40 minutes.


He also said that during the talks, the issue of Ukraine unilaterally stopping attacks on Russian oil refineries was not raised, and Kyiv has not made any such commitment.


The Ukrainian president once again expressed his readiness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin within the framework of a trilateral summit with Trump's participation.


Zelenskyy expressed hope that the United States can find a way to bring Russia to the negotiating table and pave the way for talks on ending the war.



Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump that Kyiv remains ready to reach an agreement to stop attacks on energy infrastructure.
