General Mobin: I won't let my doctor's wife leave the house

According to Mubin, on the fourth day after their wedding, he warned his wife that if she left the house, he would break her leg.

He added that his wife is now occupied with household chores, including kneading dough, sweeping, and cleaning.

Based on Mubin's statements, his wife, in response to these restrictions, has expressed concern about the condition of patients who need female doctors for treatment.

In response to this concern, Mubin said that for treating patients, doctors could be brought from China to Afghanistan.

These statements come at a time when restrictions on women's education, work, and social presence in Afghanistan—particularly in the health sector—remain a major and contentious issue. Limiting the activities of female doctors could make it difficult for women to access health services, especially in areas where access to female doctors is of particular importance for many patients.

Mubin, a prominent Taliban media figure, has stated that despite his wife being a doctor, he does not allow her to leave the house or continue her professional work.
