Takhar's Taleban district governor and his two sons injured in explosion at his house

Fresh reports indicate that Nasrullah Nazari's medical condition is critical, and his two sons were also severely injured in the incident.

Some reports suggest that this incident may be linked to internal disputes within the Taliban in Kalafgan District. According to these reports, Nazari had opposed the relocation of 200 non-local Taliban forces to the center of this district. However, this claim has not yet been independently verified.

Prior to this, the Taliban security command's press office in Takhar had announced that the incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 17 (25 Miizan), around 5:35 PM at Nasrullah Nazari's home. In their initial report, the Taliban described the cause of the incident as a technical fault in a gas cylinder and the resulting fire.

Naqibullah Masror, the Taliban police spokesman in Takhar, stated that the group's security forces, upon arriving at the scene, extinguished the fire and transferred the injured to Takhar Provincial Hospital for treatment.

Local sources report that Nasrullah Nazari, the Taliban district chief in Kalafgan District of Takhar Province, along with his two sons, has been injured following an explosion at his home. According to fresh information, the blast was caused by a mine planted in the vehicle of this Taliban official, which detonated in the courtyard of their house.
