Afghanistan Response Watch launches portal to document human rights violations

According to this organization, the portal enables all citizens of the country, including witnesses and various institutions, to securely register and submit information, evidence, testimonies, and other documents related to human rights violations.


Officials of this organization state that this initiative is part of an ongoing and comprehensive monitoring process for the human rights situation in Afghanistan, which includes tracking incidents, gathering information, verification, investigation, documentation, and analysis of alleged human rights violations. The goal of this process is to create a credible, evidence-based informational resource for better understanding the situation, identifying patterns and trends of violations, and supporting research and advocacy efforts.


In the organization's statement, it is noted that by filling existing gaps in documentation, the portal allows victims to share their documents and records with credible institutions before they are destroyed or tampered with, so that they can be used in truth-seeking processes and efforts to achieve justice and accountability.


It is also emphasized that, if necessary, this organization may refer eligible cases to national and international human rights mechanisms; however, registering cases through this portal does not guarantee immediate intervention or direct assistance.


In another section of the explanations, it is stated that all submitted information is securely stored and maintained, and users can request access, modification, or deletion of their information if needed.
