Mass refugee deportations; Pakistan repatriates over 9,000 in two days

The commission's statement indicates that a total of 9,070 Afghan migrants were deported from Pakistan on Wednesday and Thursday. It also states that during this period, 1,878 returnees were transported from Kabul to various provinces.


According to the Taliban, a total of 14.1 million Afghanis in cash assistance has been distributed to these individuals.


Pakistan has intensified its deportation of Afghan migrants in recent months. Reports indicate that police in this country have warned landlords in some cities that they will face arrest if they rent homes to Afghan migrants.


Meanwhile, international organizations have repeatedly warned against the forced return of Afghan migrants, stating that Afghanistan under Taliban rule is not a safe place, particularly for women, journalists, security forces, and former government employees.

The Taliban's Supreme Commission on Migrants has announced that Pakistan has deported more than 9,000 Afghan migrants over the past two days, returning them to Afghanistan via the Torkham, Spin Boldak, and Bahram Chah border crossings.
