UN: Over 700,000 Afghan refugees have been repatriated from Iran in the past few months

The report states that in June alone, 160,000 migrants returned from Iran to Afghanistan, with 25 percent of them being children.


According to the report, 70 percent of these migrants were forcibly returned from Iran. Meanwhile, the United Nations has stated that approximately 30,000 Afghan migrants enter the country daily through the borders.


The organization added that to meet the humanitarian needs of those in need in Afghanistan, two billion dollars is required, while only 22 percent of this budget has been secured.

The United Nations has announced in a report that over the past six months, more than 700,000 Afghan migrants have been returned from Iran to their country.
