Shakar Dokht Jafari wins Britain's 'dynamic' award.

The first female inventor and physicist of Afghanistan has been named the British Innovator of the Year and has won the 2024 Dynamics Award.

Shakar Dokht Jafari was born in Daikundi province, Afghanistan, and currently lives in the UK.

Ms. Jafari posted on her Facebook page on Wednesday, May 2, that she was happy to receive the award.


The first female medical physicist in Afghanistan moved to Iran with her family when she was six years old and has completed her studies in the country until her bachelor's degree.

Ms. Jafari returned to Afghanistan from Iran in 2004 and began teaching at Kabul University.

She arrived in the UK in 2010 with an International Atomic Energy Organization scholarship to continue his master's degree in medical physics at the University of Surrey.

After writing more than 40 scientific articles and two inventions (dosing and 3D measuring radiation dose), Ms. Jafari has been recognized as the first female medical physicist from Afghanistan.

The Afghan female innovator also won the 2016 British Women in Innovation Award.

She received this award for presenting a new method of radiation therapy for cancer patients.

Afghanistan's first female physician went to Iran with her family at the age of 6 and spent her education in this country until her bachelor's degree.
