The former head of the Human Rights Commission, Mrs. Shahrzad Akbar, has reportedly been awarded this institution's 2023 human rights award by the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The Friedrich Ebert Alman Foundation has stated that Banu Akbar is expected to accept this honor at a ceremony on November 22.Since the Taliban took control, Shahrazad Akbar has continued to live in exile.
