Since approximately four months ago, two Amu TV staffers have been detained.

Anisa Shahid, a former Amu TV reporter, tweeted that the Taliban have been holding the video editor and cameraman of the network in custody in Kabul for about four months, with no word on their whereabouts.

On the days of Ramadan or Eid al-Adha, Mrs. Shahid said, it was anticipated that the Taliban would release these two AMU staff members, but they have not yet been freed.

According to accounts, the Taliban detained these two AMU employees as a result of negative foreign press about this newly established network.

According to the some sources, Amu TV severed all ties with the journalists and members of the technical department it had employed in Kabul following the detention of Khalil Bana and Nusrat Mehdi and did not offer them any assistance.

Amu TV cut is all relation with his employees in Kabul and leave them alone without any support.
