In the Kohestanat district, Khamdan village in Sarpol, an 18-year-old woman hanged herself last night (Friday, 7 Mizan), according to reports.

The Taliban have stated that an investigation is still ongoing despite the fact that the incident's cause is still unknown.

Due to poverty and the Taliban's severe restrictions on women and girls in the country, mysterious murders and suicides have escalated since the Taliban has taken control of Afghanistan.
