According to the reports, the acting prime minister of Pakistan stated in a speech to the UN General Assembly that Pakistan's present priority is to combat terrorism in Afghanistan.

He added that the presence of terrorists in Afghanistan is a worldwide problem.

This Pakistani official has also discussed barriers to women's education, unemployment, and poverty.

Experts disagree, however, and believe that Pakistan is the primary financier of terrorism in the region.

They also claim that Pakistan supports the Taliban, and they view the verbal and sporadic military conflicts between the Taliban organization and the Pakistani military as demagogic
