Iran's diplomatic system needs to reevaluate its approach to the Taliban

In a conversation with a member of the Afghan media, Fada Mohammad Maliki, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, voiced concern regarding the circumstances and developments in Afghanistan.

Maliki stated that there are Taliban members working behind the scenes to sabotage the established ties between the peoples of the two nations.

Mr. Maliki added that Iran's diplomatic apparatus and special representative in Afghanistan issues, who have extensive powers, should reevaluate Iran's anti-Taliban strategy in a talk with Ilna news agency.

However, Iranian diplomats who communicate with the Taliban have stepped up their interactions with the terrorist organization.
