A local journalist in Parwan province has reportedly been severely beaten and arrested by Taliban intelligence, according to sources in the province.On Tuesday, August 14, in the village of Qalayari Sahra in the Jabal al-Sarraj district of Parwan province, local reporter Zamir Zaheer was taken into custody by the Taliban.The sources also claimed that this local reporter had worked for a year in the Republican Parwan governor's office. The sources also state that this journalist had recently arrived back in the nation from Iran.The Taliban has detained, abused, and imprisoned hundreds of journalists over the past two years, so their arrest of journalists is not unusual.
