The Taliban does not have national or international legitimacy for this action, according to Manijeh Bakhti of Afghanistan International, and the embassy will continue to provide consular services in response to the Taliban's foreign ministry's declaration that the consular services of the Afghan embassy in Austria are "invalid.

"The consular services provided by the Afghan embassies in Vienna and London are "invalid until further notice" as of this day, according to a statement released by the Taliban's foreign ministry on Sunday (16 Mizan).

This ministry saw the "lack of coordination" with the Taliban foreign ministry in Kabul as the grounds for criticizing the services of these embassies.
