The former commander of Centcom: America should have military forces in Afghanistan

General Frank McKenzie, the former commander of the US Central Command, has said that he confirms the assessments of the CENTCOM commanders regarding the growth of ISIS from within Afghanistan.

He has said that with the increase in the capacity of ISIS, the possibility of terrorist attacks against America's interests will increase, and he still thinks that the United States should have military forces in Afghanistan.

Mackenzie added that he has "great regret" about the decision to withdraw from Afghanistan and that history will judge this decision as a fatal mistake.

This is despite the fact that several times American officials have criticized the withdrawal of this country's forces from Afghanistan.
