Iran put two Afghan brothers to death

Two brothers, Mohammad Aref and Asif, were caught and executed by Iran on charges of drug trafficking, according to sources.These two Afghan nationals were put to death at Birjand jail in Tehran today, Sunday, December 8, according to information.According to sources, these two Afghan nationals lived in the Farah province's Lain and Jawin districts.According to the information that has been circulated, these two brothers were detained by the Iranian authorities over two years ago on suspicion of drug trafficking and faced the threat of death. They received the death penalty and were put to death after almost two years.This is true even though the Taliban had previously discussed stopping the execution with Iranian legal authorities.
