Defense Minister Talban: In the Amu Sea, we won't ever infringe on anyone else's rights.

The Ghoshtepe Canal project shouldn't bother Afghanistan's neighbors, according to Taliban Defense Minister Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, because their rights to the Amu River won't be infringed upon.

At a ceremony marking the opening of the second phase of the Ghoshtepe Canal and the operation of its first phase today, Defense Minister Talban made these remarks.

According to Defense Minister Talban, the Ghoshtepe Canal and other projects have been carefully considered and will not have a negative impact on Afghanistan's neighbors.

He said that these nations shouldn't be concerned.

He stated that Afghanistan presently uses much less water from the Amu River than it did in the past.
