Protest of women in Takhar and Badakhshan in support of Tamna Periani's food strike

Protesting women in Takhar say that women in Afghanistan have been deprived of all their basic rights by the Taliban because of their "gender".

At the same time, a group of protesting women called "Badakhshan Women's Movement" in support of Tamna Zaryab Periani's hunger strike in Cologne, Germany, say that Mrs. Periani's hunger strike was not a protest but a "powerful request" for people, especially women.
