United Nations Secretary General: We must support women fighters

On the occasion of World Population Day, Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, tweeted an appeal to all nations to assist women who are battling for their rights.


 The UN Secretary General makes this demand despite the Taliban in Afghanistan depriving the majority of its population, including women, of their human and Islamic rights. Women were denied the right to work, receive an education, and a host of other rights after the Taliban took power.


 The Taliban have used various forms of abuse, torture, and even murder to stifle the voices of women.
