Iraqi protesters set fire to the Swedish embassy


According to accounts, on this Thursday, July 20, early in the morning, irate Iraqis set fire to the Swedish Embassy in Iraq.


No harm came to the Swedish Embassy's staff as a result of this occurrence. According to Sweden, protesters' burning down of their embassy is a grave violation of the Vienna Convention.


 The Swedish embassy was set on fire, but the Iraqi Foreign Ministry has denounced this act and stressed the need for an investigation. The burning of the Koran was formerly permitted in Sweden under the guise of free speech.
