American soldiers: They will starve to death if the Taliban sweep out former Afghan soldiers

According to several former American soldiers who served in Afghanistan, there are risks to their security as well as economic and jobless issues.These Americans have expressed their concern about the dire circumstances of their fellow trapped former Afghan soldiers and claim that they are being brutally persecuted by the Taliban.At today's (Wednesday, December 11) roundtable meeting of the US Congress, which was organized to look into the Taliban's retaliation against the former soldiers, the former American officers in Afghanistan voiced their worry that the targeted killing of these soldiers is unacceptable. According to a former American soldier, his colleagues have been notified of over 800 incidents involving the murder, torture, and apprehension of former Afghan soldiers.According to Michael Sizemar, a former US Navy officer, the Afghan veterans honorably fought alongside American forces for their nation, but they are now on their own.He continued by saying that the Taliban would not kill the former Afghan soldiers; instead, starvation and unemployment would take their lives. They are also vulnerable to a catastrophic economic collapse.
