McKenzie: If we had 2,500 troops in Afghanistan, we would be safer than we are now.

troops had stayed with other NATO members in Afghanistan, they would have been able to fight Daesh and we would be safer than we are now.

Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, former commander of the US Army Command (CENTCOM), warned in an interview with ABC News' "This Week" about his new book, The Melting Point, on Sunday, April 1, against the use of an online method by ISIS in organizing attacks.

Concerned about the presence of Daesh in Afghanistan, the former commander of CENTCOM said: "If 2,500 U.S. troops had stayed with other NATO members in Afghanistan, they would have been able to fight Daesh, and we would be safer than we are now."

U.S. officials have repeatedly warned of the group's presence in Afghanistan, while saying they would be vigilant enough to face the threat posed by ISIS.

The former commander of the US Army Command (CENTCOM) has said that ISIS is using online methods to organize its attacks, posing a threat to the future of global security. Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, concerned about Daesh's presence in Afghanistan, said: "If 2,500 U.S.
