In a tweet, Rina Amiri, the US special envoy for women's issues in Afghanistan,


stated that development and success for women equate to growth and success for Afghanistan.


In response to the Taliban's decision to exclude women from taking the admission exam, Amiri says that the Taliban should put Afghan citizens above their ideology. This year's admission exam was not open to female candidates because of the Taliban.
